Baby Friendly Holidays in Suffolk

The area is great for history buffs and a day out at Sutton Hoo is great fun, where the children can see an original Anglo-Saxon burial ship in the museum along with its spears and shield and several Byzantine bowls and spoons. Boys will particularly enjoy Parham Airfield Museum in Framlington, which houses, among other things, an original wartime control tower and the 390th Bombardment Group Memorial Air Museum.

More history can be seen at the ruins of the 12th century Framlingham Castle, the spot where Mary Tudor was once proclaimed queen.

For a bit of wildlife, head out to RSPB Minsmere, located near Saxmundham where children will enjoy seeing otters, adders, dragonflies and bitterns in their natural habitat or visit the Wilderness Reserve for see deer and owls. There are some lovely walks available as well as hides, always fun for the children to watch the wildlife go by.

When staying in Suffolk, enjoy all the benefits of child friendly hotels for a peaceful and relaxing holiday stay.
