There are sleepy traditional and small towns to visit close by as well as a more cosmopolitan experience in Rhodes town, or Rhodos as it is known in Greek. The Old Town offers fascinating and winding cobblestone streets and alleys for the children to explore, while the Jewish Quarter has several lovely child friendly hotels.
For the energetic, the whole family can enjoy a 3 to 4 kilometre walk along the sand to Ixia beach and if tired from the excursion, catch a taxi back to the city. For a break from the sunshine, the children will enjoy a visit to the Marine Aquarium, just a short distance from the Old Town itself.
Close to Rhodos there are several excellent beaches to visit and a visit to Faliraki is a popular option, with its shallow and calm waters, perfect for the smaller children and a water park close by. The area also offers a bowling alley which is perfect fun for the whole family.
There is ample baby-friendly accommodation in Rhodes for the whole family making for a relaxed holiday offering much-needed peace of mind.
