Family Holidays in Paros
For those interested in water sports, the constant strong wind in the strait between Naxos and Paros makes this an ideal spot for windsurfing. Scuba diving, snorkeling and other water sports are available on the island.
The island has several excellent beaches, including Chrissi Akit (better known as Golden Beach) on the east coast, as well as Agia Irini, Livadi, Logaras beaches and Naousa Bay. Naousa itself is a traditional fishing village on the north coast of Paros, which today offers excellent shopping and dining.
The island’s capital, Parikia is situated on a bay to the north-west of the island, occupying the site of the original ancient capital. The town is a major harbor for Aegean island ferries, with regular sailings each day, making the island easy to access and also giving access to other islands including Santorini, Naxos, Mykonos and Ios. The town offers several child friendly hotels to suit the whole family.
