Gladwins Farm

Gladwins Farm Amenities

Gladwins Farm Amenities

This scenic cluster of pretty converted farm cottages are a picture-perfect prescription for family rejuvenation – especially those with stunning views from their private hot tubs!

The nine cottages offer stunning views over the Stour Valley, a stress-free short trip from London or the Midlands, a peaceful location within a 20-minute stroll of a picturesque town with family friendly gastro pub, and brilliant on-site facilities including a heated indoor pool, children's play areas and tennis courts, not to mention the friendly farm animals.

The interiors may be more homely than boutique but they are high quality and well-equipped, plus, with gorgeous White Company toiletries, and optional additional services like pre-arrival grocery and baby essentials shopping, ready-meal deliveries, a treatment room for pre-bookable beauty and massage therapy, and CRB-checked babysitting, they allow parents to feel a little spoilt and relaxed so that they can enjoy the kind of quality family time that is a luxury many would rate above designer fixtures and fittings.

A typical day at Gladwin’s offers an experience of life on the farm far more luxurious than those conjured up ideas of early starts and rustic living. A morning of animal feeding and petting can be followed up by a relaxing swim in the heated pool, a sauna, dip in the hot tub, or even a pampering session from one of the visiting spa therapists. Mini guests face the tough choice of indoor or outdoor play areas, unless the weather dictates it for them, and evenings can be spent relaxing in front of the log burner with a delicious meal from the farm shop and a DVD in the player. Plus the many lovely beaches and charming towns of the area known as Constable Country are all within a short drive.

Accommodation Overview:

Gainsborough: Part of the former stable block, this pretty two bed cottage has a brand new, private hot tub on its patio and is wheelchair accessible, making it ideal for families with crawlers or new walkers in tow. The entrance to the front and rear is ramped - handy for pushchairs - whilst the one level set up means that there are no pesky stairs to worry about. The two bedrooms, one double and one twin, are set either end of the cottage with the open plan living space in between. The snug lounge has a welcoming wood burner, cosy soft furnishings and a TV with Freeview and DVD player. The lounge leads out onto the private patio via a set of French doors. There is one family bathroom with modern shower but no bath (baby bath provided). The kitchen is equipped with microwave, oven, hob and fridge.

  • At the Gainsborough, it would be a good idea to fill in the sides of the ramp leading to the back door. As it is, the ramp poses a genuine tripping hazard, especially for small children. The steps down from the drive are very uneven. Garden facilities excellent.Review dated 25/07/2016

  • Gladwins Farm is an ideal retreat. Superbly placed for many of the surrounding attractions and with plenty to do on the farm itself the owners have done a fantastic job at making this a wonderful place to spend time. We are looking forward to coming back already, as is our son who has thoroughly enjoyed feeding the goats, pigs and chickens. The children's play area, swimming pool, games room and woodland walks are the icing on the cake of what is a wonderful place to stay.Review dated 29/01/2015

  • Great for toddlers...Review dated 13/10/2014

  • Highly enjoyable holiday - would definitely recommend it! Lots of onsite activities for kids and the shop with farmhouse ready meals is a bonus that makes your holiday that little bit easier. Can recommend the massage as well!Review dated 27/04/2014

  • Great stay at Gladwins farm, our little boy loved feeding the very friendly animals and we used the pool every day - not as "toasty" as was suggested, but we put a wetsuit on him and he was fine. Good location and very friendly staff. Our cottage was nice with a well equipped kitchen and a good use of space throughout. Overall very good venue and very much enjoyed our break there.Review dated 19/11/2013

  • Our 6th time at Gladwins - because we love it so much. Always a joy at any time of year.Review dated 26/03/2010

  • 'Fantastic pool and spa facilities. Lovely touches of luxury in the cottage and 'foodie' heaven. Nancy the dog loved the garden. Fallen in love with Suffolk and hope to come back.Review dated 26/02/2010
