This fantastically family-friendly and luxurious chalet has a brilliant setting in the heart of the Haute Savoie’s stunning cross-country ski region and 10-minutes from the buzzing downhill scene and 'family plus' resort of Le Grand-Bornand. But, with its stunning views, heated pool and indoor and outdoor play areas, its as well suited to summer holidays as it is too skiing.
Chalet le 4 can be rented on an exclusive basis, as detailed here, or split into three 2-bedroom apartments and one, 3-bedroom apartment, making it ideal for extended family or friends who'll enjoy their own private space but combined with fantastic shared facilities, inside and out.
Built in 1896, it’s every bit the chocolate-box Alpine chalet, surrounded by gob-smacking mountain scenery and now the owners, Eva and Piet, have brought it bang up to date, including everything families could possibly wish for. The indoor pool is a serious bonus, winter or summer, with a shallow end, ‘Endless Pool’ jet stream for a proper swim, massage jets and children’s fountain. When summer temperatures hit the 20’s and 30’s, families can also slide back the doors from the swimming pool room to the chalet’s 100m² deck, with sun loungers and a barbecue.
Besides the pool, Chalet le 4 has a sauna and state-of-the-art gym, plus a dream playroom to keep children happy for hours, including a reading corner, art and crafts materials, Lego and Duplo, wooden trains and tracks, cars, miniature animals, a dressing up box, table football and U-rated DVD’s. For playing outdoors, Chalet le 4 has a sun terrace and 150m² lawned garden with a trampoline and play area for the summer months, or for making snow men and igloos in the winter, with a sledging slope just across the quiet, cul-de-sac road.
All four apartments have their own light and contemporary living/dining area with comfy sofa and chairs, under-floor heating and a wood burner, satellite TV, DVD player and iPod dock. The well-equipped kitchens include a Nespresso machine, induction hob, fridge freezer, oven/microwave, steam oven and toaster. The owners also provide a long list of baby and toddler kit, from wooden cots, junior beds and Stokke Tripp Trapp highchairs to crockery, steriliser, bathroom accessories and lots more. There’s also a Baby-Björn and backpack carriers to make the most of the stunning walks from the doorstep.
All the bedrooms have feather down duvets, dressing gowns and their own bathroom or shower-room, plus built in baby monitors linked to Chalet le 4’s large communal dining area. All the apartments have access to its own private terrace or balcony and guests can also meet up for afternoon tea, which can be served in a communal lounge with a real fire. Bread can be delivered each day and the owners will serve breakfast, afternoon tea and table d’hote menus on request, plus babysitters can be arranged so parents can enjoy a grown-up meal out.

Baby-Friendly Apartments in the French Alps
Beautiful location & beautiful property. Everything is well thought out, with those few extras that make it so easy (especially for parents). Pool is great, as is the playroom. Will return I hope!Review dated 29/08/2014
Fantastic property, luxury with everything you need to feel at home. Perfectly suited to families with children of all ages. Our 3 year old twins had a fantastic time. All the touches were there from high chairs, night lights and kids crockery/ cutlery to hard wired baby monitors allowing the grown ups to have a civilised meal in the host's dining room once the kids are in bed. The pool was fantastic and we were in there daily with the kids. We would highly recommend it.Review dated 23/02/2014
We had a wonderful summer holiday at Chalet le 4 with our 2 and 5 yr old boys. The Chalet is in a beautiful valley in the Alps. We enjoyed walking, the local restaurants and touring the local minigolf courses! We used the infinity pool most days. The playroom is really fantastic - beautiful quality toys for all ages. And the children loved the trampoline and slide too. It's a short drive to the nearest village, but the benefit is the peace and quiet around the Chalet. The apartment was comfortable and stylishly decorated. Eva and Piet were great hosts, happy to get us some shopping before we arrived and to advise us on where to go. Can't fault it - recommend 100%.Review dated 08/11/2013

My husband and I and our two young sons had a fabulous holiday at Chalet le 4. Our hosts Eva & Piet Hein Schram were very welcoming and helpful during our stay. The chalet was lovely with everything you need and the indoor and outdoor play areas and pool were fantastic for the kids. The surrounding scenery was stunning and we enjoyed exploring the countryside and nearby towns, including down to the beautiful Lake Annecy. Lots to do and see. We recommend it highly.Review dated 31/07/2013
