Whilst our main focus is and, always will be child-friendly holiday accommodation, with pets of our own, we understand that sometimes families need somewhere suitable for four-legged travellers too. With that in mind, we thought we’d round-up a couple of our favourite dog friendly holiday cottages from across the UK.

  1. Dairy Cottage, Sleeps 4. New Forest

This two-bedroom, New Forest cottage is perfect for families with pets in tow. It has its own garden and there are a host of beautiful dog walking routes to explore nearby. Whether you want to take in the rugged, wild and undeniably picturesque national park nearby( it was recently voted no.1 national park in Europe), or hop in the car and head to one of the local dog-friendly beaches. We’re particularly fond of the long, sandy stretch of coast at Alum Chine beach/ The owners even have a beach hut here which guests can book to enjoy, so the whole family, dogs included, can have somewhere warm and dry to relax, make a pot of tea and soak up the fresh sea air. 2. Flear Farm Cottages, Devon

The 45-acre Flear Estate is a picture-perfect country idyll which offers a selection of family-friendly cottages several of which are dog-friendly too. Amongst the rolling acres of beautiful rural land the owners have provided a wealth of onsite facilities, including an indoor pool, play area, hot tub and more. The regions best beaches are on the doorstep and there’s an abundance of quaint country villas and bustling seaside towns to explore. 3. The Cartlodge, Sleeps 4, Suffolk

This contemporary barn conversion offers a rural holiday home for 4 plus pets near Woodbridge in Suffolk. There are scenic walking routes on the doorstep for dog walks and the local dog-friendly pub is just a short stroll away too. In the spectacular Scottish Highlands, just outside Inverness, The Dairy is owned by a 4th generation farming family who’s herd of Holstein and Jersey cows produce the creamy milk for their homemade gelato, which is available as a pre-bookable treat on request for all guests.
