Far more than just a motor museum, this country house park has a range of fun activities for children, from the motor museum itself, an array of classic ‘film star’ cars, a Victorian house, country gardens, a medieval abbey, fabulous children’s play area, and fun monorail ride. It’s a great family destination as it offers enough interest to keep little ones entertained but also has something for grown-ups too. These beautiful country gardens are spread over 200 acres of woodland and are filled with beautiful flowers, ancient trees and it even has its very own steam railway! Departing from Exbury Central, a replica Victorian station on the estate, families can board the train for a meandering journey round through the grounds. The New Forest is abundant in wildlife from wild ponies which roam the beautiful countryside to the Fallow and Sika deer present in the woodland. For little one’s keen on exploring nature and discovering some more impressive animals, the New Forest Wildlife Park is a real treat! Another great choice for animal lovers, Marwell Zoo! Set across 140 acres of parkland, this beautiful country zoo is home to an amazing range of exotic and endangered species including Giraffes, snow leopards, tigers, rhinos, and hippos. Little ones always particularly love the penguin enclosure, and the new Tropical House exhibition lets visitors get up close and personal with an array of wildlife and exotic plants.
