Michela Chiappa – A Dreamy Family Holiday In Cornwall

TV Cook, Writer (check out the great new book ‘Baby at the Table’) & Busy Working Mum Michela Chiappa Reviews her stay at BFB Favourite Trelawney in Cornwall;

‘WOW is all I can say. If you want to stay somewhere utterly stunning WITH your kids, then this place is an incredible treat.  The house has been planned and designed from scratch and everything about it is stunning…the open plan kitchen and living space which looks onto the huge garden with large glass windows, giving sea views.

We stepped into the space and were utterly blown away….so much space.  The host had thought of everything – there was a mega hamper for us to dive straight into, milk in the fridge and a massive bucket of nespresso pods to keep us going.  We spent our first 5 hours just chilling on the sofa, taking in the amazing views and generally feeling very smug!

There was a massive cupboard full of toys for the kids so that kept them amused and the girls particularly loved the dolls house and the Mr. Men book collection.  Honestly we didn’t even want to go exploring we were enjoying just unwinding.

As for the bedrooms….well utterly dreamy….all ensuite, upstairs with a mega balcony.  And the deep square bath!!!!  The kids LOVED this!!!

The hosts had also thought about all those little details which made being on holiday with the kids an a absolute breeze – we didn’t have to pop out for any “extras”.  There was washing powder for the utility room, lovely organic dish soap, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, a first aid kit which even had capol in, travel cots, bubble bath…I mean I know this is rather sad of me to be excited by these domestic items but it really did mean we had everything at our fingertips and no stressful panic trips to the shops….nothing worse than having soggy kids but no washing powder to stick on a wash!

Now onto the bit we really got excited about…we were minutes from the gorgeous Harlyn Bay and typically we wandered down and sighed about the fact it is so beautiful but we hadn’t had room for any beach “kit”….only to discover back at home that the outdoor shed was packed with buckets, spades, nets, boogie boards and even kids sized wet suits!!!  OMG HEAVEN!!!!

And the garden kit didn’t stop there….gorgeous outdoor furniture, an awesome stone fire pit (perfect for our Halloween night), plus table tennis table, hoola hoops for the kids and loads of other games.

Honestly a truly magical holiday and all we kept talking about was how we were going to be able to make another trip here again soon!  p.s. perfect anytime of the year not just summer…we had glorious weather and all made it into the sea for the first day in Nov!  Check out Trelawney on www.babyfriendlyboltholes.co.uk ‘
