At first sight the multi-award wining Trelowth Cottages looks like an idyllic model village with pretty detached cottages scattered amongst 30-acres of meadows and woodland. A closer look finds it’s far more. There are facilities including: an indoor pool, tennis courts, a fully stocked games room, an internet lounge, an indoor playbarn and a toddler-friendly playground; yet enough space to ensure privacy and independence, if desired.
Owners Pat and David Smith know that it’s the simple pleasures of adventures in the woods and fields that can make the best memories for little ones. They’ve even created a wild animal trail complete with statues of the real thing and prizes for finding the lot! It’s almost as much fun making friends with both the two and four-legged variety at the daily animal feeding and egg-collecting rounds with Farmer Dave!
Accommodation Overview
Chocolate box classic, Cottage Two sleeps four (plus cots) and is crammed full of olde worlde character and charm. Exposed beams, wobbly walls, huge inglenook fireplace and pretty handmade kitchen with slate floor could well convince junior guests that Coliza was in fact the real Hansel and Gretal cottage! Luckily, there's no witch but there is an enticing adventure play area just opposite so parents can enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks outside whilst also overseeing their little ones on the slide or in the sand pit. It's quite the romantic escape too with its oak beamed fireplace, gas fired log burner and roll-top bath.
Stock up on delicious local organic produce from the award-winning Lobbs Farm Shop just 10 minutes drive away. Use Pat’s guide to ‘breast feeding friendly’ eateries, and her local recommendations for eating out with kids such as ‘Pinky Murphy’s café, Sam’s bistro, The Gilly Beach Café, and the Hewas Inn. Check-out the 'Pirate ships' (tall ships) at nearby Charlestown harbour and enjoy the simple pleasures of rock pooling at one of the nearby beaches. Parents will appreciate the trail leading to the Poolgoth Inn, a family friendly pub serving good food. For more glamorous evenings, babysitting is available so parents can sample the local restaurants – Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant at Watergate Bay is just 25 minutes away.

Fantastic place, very family orientated and friendly welcome.Review dated 12/03/2016
A perfect location for exploring Cornwall - not that you would need to leave as there is so much to keep the little ones entertained on site. We had a wonderful family holiday and will definitely be going backReview dated 14/09/2011
Fantastic place to visit with toddlers as there is so much to do on your doorstep!Review dated 20/09/2010
We had a charming week at Bosinver cottages. We had a 1 year old, 2 year old and 3 year old and all three of them LOVED it, especially the feeding the chickens and the pony rides. The accomodation was great, the only downside was there wasn't much surface area to prepare food. Also if you want to book a babysitter I'd recommend you do this as soon as you make your reservation as she was fully booked - luckily we had grandma with us so were able to take advantage of the fabulous restaurants nearby! We had pretty mixed weather but the holiday cottages had the indoor play barn that occupied the kids and anything that kept them happy meant us adults were happy :). I would highly recommend this place.Review dated 03/11/2009
