BFB's Overview.
An exciting transformation is underway for one of our long-time favourites. Following an extensive revamp by the brilliant Domes Luxury Resorts, the former Lindian Village will relaunch as Aulus Lindos Rhodes by Domes in Spring 2026 — and with exclusive introductory rates, it’s shaping up to be something of a steal in its debut season.
We’ll be honest — we always loved the bones of Lindian Village. The low-rise, village-style layout, generous range of stylish family suites (many with private pools or hot tubs), the dreamy free-form pool and its peaceful setting on a beautiful sandy bay… it had so much going for it. But when we revisited post-Covid, we felt the service and overall finish had slipped, and made the difficult decision to remove it from our collection.
Which is why we were genuinely thrilled to hear that Domes Resorts had taken over.
They’re a brand we trust implicitly — known for their exceptional attention to detail, standout interiors, and some of the best food you’ll find in a family resort (with several properties featured in the Michelin Guide). Crucially, they strike that elusive balance between grown-up luxury and genuinely warm, family-friendly hospitality.
Happily, they’ve retained everything that made the original so appealing — the spacious multi-room suites sleeping up to six, the relaxed layout and beautiful setting — while elevating every element of the experience. Expect reimagined public spaces in their signature boho-luxe style, a brand-new playground, and a significant investment in a UK-managed crèche and kids’ club.
The move to an ultra all-inclusive concept is another game-changer. Families can dip in and out of 24/7 dining at the effortlessly chic buffet, graze on elevated street food by the beach, or settle in for à la carte dinners at the Asian, Greek and Italian restaurants. Little ones will beeline for the crêpes and gelato, while parents can steal away for a more grown-up evening at the adults-only Asian restaurant — safe in the knowledge that children are happily occupied at the Montessori-inspired kids’ club.
And when it’s time to properly switch off, the cocoon-like Soma Spa offers a serene escape, with Elemis and Codage Paris treatments alongside complimentary Pilates and sound-healing sessions.
In short, this is a much-loved property, thoughtfully reimagined by a team who truly understand modern family travel — and for its first season, it offers exceptional value for the level of style and service on offer.

Location Information
Aulus Lindos Rhodes enjoys a lovely beachfront setting on a peaceful stretch of coast, just a short drive from the laid-back village of Lardos and, in the other direction, the famously picturesque town of Lindos — widely considered one of the most beautiful spots on the island.
The hotel’s beach is a mix of soft sand, shingle and small pebbles, which can get warm underfoot in the height of summer — so jelly shoes are a smart addition for little ones. In return, you’ll find a well-serviced, relaxed beach setup with watersports, waiter service for drinks and snacks, and seriously comfortable double loungers. A gentle stroll along the shoreline brings you to a second nearby beach for a change of scene.
One of the highlights here is the hotel’s taxi boat to Lindos, which departs mid-morning and returns mid-afternoon. It’s a fun and easy way to explore — whether you fancy a beach day, a wander through Lindos’ charming whitewashed streets lined with boutiques, or a leisurely lunch in one of the rooftop tavernas. For a dose of history, the hilltop Acropolis offers sweeping views and impressive ruins, including the Temple of Athena Lindia and an ancient rock-carved theatre.
Even better, guests booking with Baby Friendly Boltholes can enjoy a weekly evening transfer to Lindos, complete with vouchers for a rooftop cocktail for grown-ups and ice cream for the children — a lovely, low-effort family outing.
Rhodes Town is around 30 minutes away and well worth a visit. As Europe’s largest inhabited medieval walled city, it’s packed with atmosphere, history and plenty to explore (and yes, it’s also home to the site of the legendary Colossus of Rhodes).
For family days out, there’s plenty to keep younger travellers entertained — from the popular waterpark near Faliraki and the aquarium in Rhodes Town, to the enchanting Valley of the Butterflies and evening sound-and-light shows. For something a little different, older children may enjoy a day trip to Ephesus in Turkey, where the remarkably well-preserved Roman ruins — including the famously entertaining ancient public toilets — never fail to spark interest.
Getting There
Rhodes Airport is around 50 minutes from the hotel. Private transfers with child seats typically cost €120–€150 each way, and the island is well served by direct flights from most UK airports, as well as connections via Athens and Thessaloniki.
