Perfect for large groups, Fairview House is made up of a former farmhouse and barn each with their own separate lounge and kitchens but with connecting doors and sharing two terraces with magnificent views - best enjoyed from its luxurious hot tub - and stunning grounds complete with heated pool, trampoline, wendy house and sandpit... idyllic!
If there are golfers in the family, this villa is the very place, overlooking the fairways of the prestigious Chateau Vigiers resort in the Western Dordogne. For everyone else, this fine French farmhouse and barn has been really well geared up and equipped for family holidays (including the dog!), so tots to teenagers can play the days away while grown-ups can relax, maybe booking an onsite massage or beauty treatment.
It stands in an acre of orchard garden with grassy space to play and a large, netted trampoline. By the back door there’s also a play area for toddlers with a Wendy House and sandpit. A lovely 9x5 metre swimming pool is heated to a minimum of 24°, rising to a toasty 28° from Easter to November and has wide corner steps so little ones can splash in the shallows. The pool has a retractable, lockable cover which can be pulled over in seconds, to maintain the temperature and for parental peace of mind. From the pool and pool terrace, guests can gaze on the half acre lower garden with beautiful views along the valley and over the golf course, snooze on cushioned loungers, have a game of table tennis and stoke up a gas or charcoal BBQ by a covered dining area, which has French doors from the kitchen. Let's not forget the luxurious hot tub on the terrace with views to die for!
The villa itself, with its beamed ceilings and tiled/oak floors, has been furnished and equipped to be comfortable and practical for families, including an exhaustive list of baby and toddler essentials for feeding time, bath time and bedtime. In the sitting room, everyone can get comfy on leather sofas, by a roaring real fire, to watch satellite channels on a 42” plasma TV or choose a family movie from a wide selection of DVD’s. There’s a good library of books in the dining room, as well as traditional board games, plus the house has unlimited Wi Fi for streaming films and gaming. The two kitchens have all mod cons, each has a breakfast table that seats four and the Farmhouse has French doors to the dining terrace overlooking the pool.

Hi, I'm Tracey and am married to Adi and live in Salisbury, Wiltshire with Holly, our elderly Golden Retriever.
We decided to create a wonderful holiday home for families with young children, after enjoying many family holidays ourselves in the Dordogne, when our children were young.
We have made many alterations to the villa over the years to ensure it is perfect for families on holiday and are continually investing and upgrading the facilities.
We have a policy of purchasing (within reason!) whatever our guests require to make their holiday special.
As owners, guests can rest assured that we are continually striving to maintain the high standards and have regular work visits to both properties out of season.
Please feel free to email or call me to chat about your holiday.
We love creating a holiday home that our guests can return to year after year as contented guests are our main motivation. Holidays are so important and it is really important that they are stress free for every member of the family. This is why I offer a complimentary concierge service from the moment you decide to book until you return home after your holiday. I can help with travel arrangements, recommend restaurants, organise wine tasting, arrange babysitting with our trusted caretakers who are mums themselves.
Kids adore playing in the lovely, warm, heated pool which they can enjoy whatever the weather as they can still swim under the retractable cover. They also adore the trampoline, Wendy House and sandpit and the play area. Hundreds of DVD's and satellite TV also has them smiling as well as all the traditional outdoor garden games they can enjoy with their families.
With ages ranging from toddler to teenager, there is something for everyone here. Looking at the guest book and reviews, the main praise from kids has been for the large, warm pool but they have also really enjoyed the large safe, enclosed garden where they can play for hours, the local markets with their "steak and frites" and the croissants form the local boulangerie. They also enjoy the local chateau which are set up for children and families where they can explore and act out play games. Happy kids mean happy parents!!

Very well equipped restored period property, with aircon in every bedroom.
Plenty of shaded areas and play equipment for all ages(outdoors and in).

With multi-family & generations the barn is a must, very well equipped & finished to a very high standard.
Owner very response both prior arrival and during stay.Review dated 29/06/2018
Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we booked our family holiday to La Grange. When we informed the owners that we would be taking our 9 month old baby on his first ever holiday, they made sure we had everything we could possibly need - the gite seemed to be already well equipped which is one of the reasons we had wanted to stay there in the first place - a stress free break was key! Also not having to pack loads in the car was a bonus... but the owners had thought of so much more and provided items very happily that we were concerned we might need as first time parents - and everything was waiting for us and set up on our arrival at the beautiful gite. it made our holiday so much more relaxing knowing he was entertained, safe and happy and that we didn't have to worry about bringing too much. He loved the pool, heated to perfection as he is a real water baby but also enjoyed relaxing pool side as did we, playing in the Wen ...Review dated 18/07/2017
