Share Tips & Advice Show Location Map Parc Vean nestles just above the pretty coastal hamlet of West Portholland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on South Cornwall's scenic Roseland Peninsula. The village is just 10 minutes walk from the house and boasts a sandy bay and stunning coastline walks to Portloe and Porthluney Cove.
The picturesque fishing village of St Mawes is just a short drive away and has a cluster of interesting shops, a good deli, coffee bar, fresh fish van (before 10am) and the famous Tresanton Hotel (great for a special meal). There's also a castle and boat trips from the harbour. There's also a ferry over to Falmouth where you can visit the excellent Maritime Museum and Rick Stein's new restaurant. Alternatively, enjoy fish and chips at the Harbour Inn at nearby Mevagissey; or sample one of several excellent countryside pubs within a few miles.
