Luxuriating in a bubbly whirlpool while gazing on snowy Alpine peaks is the kind of decadent pleasure that makes ski holidays so appealing – even for those who have no desire to hit the slopes! It’s the kind of pleasure that makes Les Terrasses d’Eos so enticing and in the prime ski region of France’s Grand Massif, the winter sports quite literally on the doorstep are pretty hot too.
The premium apartment residence of Les Terrasses d’Eos is in the style of a classic Alpine chalet, tucked by a spruce forest in the largely car-free mountain resort of Flaine, just an hour from Geneva. The big reception lounge has a funky modern style and chunky sofas by a roaring fire then 4 lifts means no stress or crush, even with pushchairs, toddlers and snow gear to contend with. Besides a panoramic whirlpool, guests have free use of saunas, steam rooms and a fitness room in the ‘well being’ suite and there’s a heated outdoor pool for an invigorating dip.
The one to three bedroom apartments are furnished and finished to the highest standards of contemporary, comfy and cosy self catering accommodation. Each one has big windows and either a balcony or terrace with outdoor furniture to admire the glorious views over the valley or surrounding spruce forests and sip warming night caps on starry nights. The apartments have a well equipped kitchenette, satellite TV and free WiFi plus a free baby kit can be provided comprising a travel cot, baby chair, changing mat, baby bath and folding pushchair – so that leaves more space for winter woollies and fleecy snow boots. Bread and pastries can be ordered for breakfast and local shops will also deliver.
Accommodation Overview
Two-bedroom superior apartments at Les Terrasses d’Eos are suitable for a family of 4-6 plus a baby in a cot. They boast both a double with ensuite bathroom and a twin bedroom, plus a living room with double sofa bed. Each apartment has a shower room in addition to the ensuite bathroom, separate WC and well equipped kitchenette complete with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer box and luxury touches such as a Nespresso maker. All apartments have the befit of Wi-FI and furnished terraces or balconies overlooking the valley and surrounding pine forest.
