La Grange is a newly converted former barn with 6-8 bedrooms and a lovely setting in three acres of secluded grounds with spectacular views over the French countryside.
The barn has been thoughtfully renovated with families in mind. The safely fenced pool area has its own pool for children, and there's a dedicated outdoor play area to ensure little ones are easily occupied. Parents are well looked after too with Heated pool , hot tub, luxury pool-side sun loungers, outdoor dining furniture and a gas BBQ for long relaxing evenings when little ones are tucked up in bed, and that's before you get to the luxurious Jacuzzi bath and sauna in the spa/bathroom!
A long list of useful baby and toddler gear provided (see grey box), handy welcome pack, and optional arrival night meal, allows parents the luxury of packing light and the ability to relax from the moment they arrive.
This splendid renovation has ensured that the barn's interiors blend the best of old and new. Character comes from high open-beamed ceilings, acres of solid wood flooring, a log fireplace and exposed stone walls; whilst luxuries such as the Sauna, hot tub, pool/snooker table, power showers, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, DVD players, comfy leather sofa's, beautiful bedding extensively equipped kitchen etc. give it a distinctly modern and high quality feel.
The barn has a huge open-plan living area, which is great for families travelling with gran parents or friends travelling together, with plenty of seating areas, a large dining table seating 14 and a beautiful fitted kitchen complete with child-proof cupboard locks, double-oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Upstairs, there are three large double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and their own comfortable seating areas, plus plenty of room for cots. Also,two twin rooms and a triple room , two of which have adjoining rooms which can house a cot/toddler bed. Plus a large family bathroom/spa with Jacuzzi bath, double sink, shower and sauna.
Outside, there are two fully furnished (loungers, tables and chairs etc) terraces allowing for sunny or shady relaxation, a hot tub under a gazebo and a lovely 10m by 5m pool with separate shallow children's pool. A kids play area with swings, slide, climbing frame, trampoline and ride-ons will keep mini guest occupied whilst parents enjoy evening drinks and cooking on the BBQ, whilst table tennis badminton ,boules, cricket are provided so all ages can play together.
The three acres of grounds means there's always a place for peace and quiet, alternatively, pack up a picnic and take a walk to the historic windmill on the hill.

Getting There:
La Grange is located midway between the bustling towns of Marmande and Villeneuve-sur-lot, with the former being just 30minutes by train to the cosmopolitan city of Bordeaux. The pretty bastide towns of Eymet, Monflanquin, Penne d'Agenais and Pujols are all within a short drive.
It is just three kilometres from the village of Tombeboeuf, which has a hotel, renowned restaurant, general store, bakery, butchers and pharmacy. A good 9-hole golf course (lessons available) is just a few minutes away by car, whilst there's a range of good restaurants for all budgets, tennis, horse-riding a children's petting farm and a fantastic swimming lake with a beach, pontoon and water activities, all within 20 minutes drive. There is also a beach at the riverside town of Castlemoron-sur-Lot ( 10 minutes away) which has water activities, including cannoes for hire and is popular for fishing.
Canoeing is available on the many rivers, canals and lakes near by, but if that's too strenuous, hire a boat and follow Rick Stein's route from Marmande to Agen along the canal.
Along with the aforementioned petting farm, there's also the Park Wallaby, theme park within about 45mins drive.
