Owners and experienced grandparents, Helene and James Sherwin have created a wonderfully sophisticated yet family-friendly retreat nestled in acres of beautiful rural landscape, yet within a few minutes drive of the Georgian charms and fabulous shopping in Bath, and even closer to Longleat Safari park.
Parents will appreciate the stylish furnishings, heated polished stone flooring, gourmet deli hampers, pre-bookable hot stone massages, sophisticated audio-visual gadgets, optional farmhouse breakfasts and dinners, beautiful views, original artworks, cosy wood burner, large comfortable beds with luxurious linens, fluffy bathrobes, and fabulous bathroom with Cowshed products and romantic claw foot bath – perfect for candlelit soaks accompanied by a glass of fizz!
Children on the other hand will be thrilled with the baskets of toys provided and enchanted by the farm's animals, which they are invited to help feed or collect eggs from, helping to bring ‘Old MacDonald' to life for little ones who are just learning the rhyme – just don't let James hear you call him that!
Accommodation Overview:
The beautifully designed cottage is the perfect retreat for families looking for a stylish yet practical getaway. The lounge is comfortably decorated with luxurious soft furnishings and neutral walls adored withoriginal artwork, it's the perfectplace to snuggle up after a busy day of exploring whether it be to watchone of the many provided family films on the Bang and Olufsen TV (with sky) or simply curl up with a good book ( take your pick from the shelves) and a glass of wine once the little ones are tucked up in bed. The kitchen is spacious and well kitted out witha large cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer etc. and it is also home to the dining area complete with granite topped table and seating for 6. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms both with room for a cot andeach with their own bathroom, one with a large shower and the other with a bath.
Outside there is a lovely exterior dining space with BBQ, furniture and a hammock, perfect for lazy summer days. Plus if the British weather lets guests down their is a handy games room with with table tennis, table football, darts and Nintendo Wii.

Despite its beautiful rural location, Court Farm is within a few minutes drive of a bustling village with a friendly pub serving good food and a great deli and coffee shop with take-away meals that are perfect for relaxing evenings dining ‘at home’ in the cottage. A little further afield is a farm shop which sells lovely fresh baked bread, award-winning sausages and lots of other goodies. Longleat Safari Park is a short 10 minute drive and, along with the animals, there are other great attractions for little ones including ‘Postman Pat®’s Village’. The historic and picturesque town of Frome with its cobbled streets bursting with boutiques and bistros is nearby. Its ‘Junction 21’ indoor soft play centre and café can be useful for wearing little ones out. The Georgian splendour and world famous spa of Bath is only 20 minutes drive away. If visiting for the day, try ‘No 8’ on Manvers Street, a stylish cafe bar that is welcoming for babies and toddlers with a special kid’s lunch menu and organic baby food available. Stonehenge is nearby. For a day at the beach, Lyme Regis is about an hour’s drive. The eight acres of grounds at Court Farm, including the orchard and top field with its views over Salisbury Plain, Cley Hill and the Longleat Estate, make it a great spot to spend a day pottering about and maybe enjoying a picnic.

A gorgeous barn which has been beautifully restored. The interior is stunning, providing a tasteful mix of the old with the new. I loved the hotel quality white crisp sheets and fluffy towels. The kids loved visiting the pigs and chickens, the two resident cats were a big hit too. The private garden at the front is great for the kids to play in safely without escaping. The huge games room is an added bonus. Helene and James made us feel very welcome and we would definitely recommend this lovely house to others.

We had a beautiful weekend away at Court Farm. The property is gorgeous, luxury and very baby friendly. The outside area is enclosed which is great for kids and they had lots of toys, indoor and outdoor for our toddler to play with. The little touches like the hot tub, beautiful bedding and luxury toiletries made it feel like a 5 star hotel. The owners were very welcoming and we would love to return again.

The kids enjoyed running around the garden, looking for hen eggs, picking fruit and vegetables in the veg patch, playing with the resident cat and dogs. There's a lovely playroom with toys for all ages. My son particularly loved the giant Scalextric set. Little touches such as comfy beds and duvets and Cowshed products made the stay extra special.

It was spotlessly clean, bed linen ironed to perfection, attention to detail was given to everything.
Helene and James really have created a beautiful bolt hole. We hope to return one day.

wet and wild, the cottage was absolutely lovely - very well kitted out, with all
the things you could think of in the kitchen, comfortable beds, well specced
bathrooms, soft towels etc. Given the weather we weren't terribly
adventurous in going out - especially with two small babies in tow, but CFC was
a great place to be holed up in, especially with the wood burner roaring
away. Definitely recommended and I bet it would be even nicer in Spring /

A perfect holiday !!! Unlike many other places I have stayed in the past the reality is actually better than the pictures, everything is immaculate with a warm welcoming atmosphere. It feels very secure and has lots for the little ones to play with- the animals and views are an added bonus. Do visit Longleat also - the kids loved it and so did we !!!
