Travelling in the opposite direction, along the coast is Brighton (approx. 30-40mins by car), which has a great selection of bistros and handily pedestrianised 'Laines' shopping area, plus a pier fairground and lovely boardwalk with cafes on the seafront itself. BFB recommends Pinxto People,a sophisticated tapas bar and deli with chic yet family-friendly vibe and excellent menu including specials for niños. If you can't stop, get it to takeaway and enjoy it back at the house.
