I once spent a holiday as a beast of burden. My son Fin was 8 months old and had the time of his life dangling from a baby harness from my chest as we both explored, wide-eyed, the amazing Isles of Scilly, off the tip of Cornwall. I loved whole trip, but I could have done without the neck and shoulder pains that the harness sparked  by the end of the day.

The BabyBjorn Miracle baby carrier might have been the answer to my traveling-with-baby prayers. You can safely haul your small person around up until the age of 15 months (12kg). But it’s ergonomic design spreads the load through adjustable, padded waist straps and shoulder straps, and a back support should make the aches and pains a thing of the past.
