BFB Loves…. Sparkle & Spin-Cool Kidswear…

BFB is a big fan of the inspiring collection of cool kids clothes, toys and interiors at online fashion boutique Sparkle & Spin so we’ve asked  them to compile a list of top tips for stylish tots…..

At Sparkle & Spin we’ve been busy getting creative with our wardrobe and putting together great new looks for the little ones. We think if you stick to a few essential rules and shop smartly you can create a cool capsule wardrobe that will see your little one through the season.

1. A great pair of jeans are a must have and this season they come in a rainbow of colours. Choose a classic denim for a simple, classic look or go quirky and join the fashion pack with a candy coloured denim from cool brand ESP No. 1
2. A lightweight knit is essential for those cooler Summer days (and nights!), luxury Danish brand FUB make simple, chic knits in super soft knits that oozze comfort and style.
3. A super cute dress takes the number one spot in all the little ladies wardrobes. We love this butterfly print dress from Scandinavian brand Molo. A pretty print, dip dye and a few frills makes it a perfect party princess dress.
4. Choose graphic print tee-shirts that can be teamed with jeans, shorts or cords for a fun and quirky look but avoid loud logos and cartoon characters that will date and go out of favour with your little one.
5. Add a splash of colour. Don’t be afraid to add in bright blocks of colour. Mini Rodini’s yellow cords work really well and if you’re not ready for that much colour use accessories like bags and hair bows for that splash!

Oh and remember if you get stuck and need styling tips or advices we are only a click away at www.sparkleandspin.co.uk!!

BFB Loves … Cool Mum Blogs

WARNING: These blogs may prompt a little insecurity in your own ‘cool-ness’ but I have decided that the smirks, giggles and inspiration they provide, not to mention their usefulness to me personally as a buffer against the temptation to fill my wardrobe with Boden, just because I am the wrong side of 30 and not sure I can carry off gold sparkly hi tops and skinny jeans, make them well worth highlighting!

1. ‘Mothers Meetings’ – Not just inspirational but sociable too with regular ‘meets’

2. ‘I’m Only Saying What Your Thinking’ - This one makes me smirk every time I read it. Just hilarious, rude and brutally honest. Brilliant!

3. Mum on the Run - This journalist and boutique-owning mum of three inspires me to keep fit and buy nice things!

4. The Hipster Mom – A fresh perspective from Williamsburg NYC

5. Design Mom – This France-based American interior designer and mum of six (yep six!) inspires me with cool crafts.

Found any good Mum blogs? Please add them to the comments section and share the love!

Hop & Hunt, Duke of York Square, King’s Road, London, SW3 – Sat 7 Apr

Over the Easter bank holiday, pack up the family and head to Duke of York Square on Saturday 7th April for Chelsea’s first ever Hop & Hunt Easter challenge.

Unscramble the clues and find the hidden riddles within the shops on the square, before picking out a golden egg at Chelsea’s first ever Hop & Hunt Easter challenge. Each egg could give visitors the chance to win an XBox or £200 shopping spree in the area.

The Easter bunny will be close by to offer a helping hand to those who fancy a photo with our furry friend. The Hop and Hunt welcome contestants and visitors of all ages to come along and enjoy the fun.
