Some hotels boast outstanding interiors with great facilities for parents with pre-school children but the Almyra is outstanding on both counts. Their innovative 'Baby Go Lightly' service allows parents to pre-order anything and everything they might need from ensuring a babyseat in the airport transfer taxi to supplies of nappies (including non-disposable swim nappies), wipes, toiletries, organic baby food and even English language bedtime story books and DVDs. The nightly bedtime warm milk and biscuits service is typical of the attention to detail in the small things that really make the difference, more commonly found in BFB's smaller privately run accommodation. As well as crèche, kids club and babysitting service, the Almyra also has a team of 'Baby Concierges' who can help source anything little darlings need.
As a Design Hotel, the Almyra is a cleverly renovated ‘70s hotel which now has a sleek contemporary design scheme. The ultra trendy entrance has long slate water features and a sleek boutique offering such delights as Paul & Joe, Prada and quintessential Havaiana flipflops for all ages. The hotel interior is a combination of minimalism with trendy tangerine leather chairs and deliberately overblown touches like elaborate chandeliers. The slate-lined pool with its bed-like sunloungers is sublime with an irresistible ice cream and sorbet bar. There’s a choice of the traditional taverna-style restaurant Ouzeri, Mosaics, Notios set on a sea view terrace under olive trees. All have a comprehensive kids menu that even includes a selection of purees for the youngest guests.
Almyra’s recently added Spa is a haven for parents when the offspring are enjoying the kids club/creche. This haven of glamour and tranquility has a stunning infinity pool, huge pool-side day beds, sea-view treatment rooms and the 'Eauzone Deli' bistro. All have been designed by Joelle Pleot, whose previous projects include a house for Karl Lagerfeld and the Coco Chanel apartment in Paris.
Inland Rooms are the Almyra's entry level room, the smallest with the least fabulous view. These rooms a great value for money but probably not ideal for young families in high season as they can suffer noise from the surrounding restaurants and bars. They boast floor to ceiling windows opening to a Juliette balcony enabling guests to sit on the room's stylish leather chairs and watch Paphos go by from inside the room. The rooms each have a king-sized double bed and space for either a cot or a child's bed (not both). Total area 28m² per room. Bookings from this page will be for 2 x interconnecting rooms with an internal door between them, making the suitable for families of 4-6+cots. Please note that children over 11 years old will incur a daily surcharge.
BFB Verdict: At €205-€385 per room per night these are a great option if money is tight, for those who can afford a little more, BFB's highly recommends the interconnecting garden view rooms which are great value, much bigger, with terraces, a couple of steps down to safe gardens, and less likely to pick up street noise. Price Guide: From €205-€385 per room per night. Inland Rooms can be reserved via the 'Prices' tab or 'Reserve Now' button on this page.

Share Tips & Advice Show Location Map Paphos is an interesting mixture of kiss-me-quick culture and fine Cypriot heritage. Whichever you prefer, you’re sure to find plenty to enjoy. Stroll around the old harbour to the Medieval Fort. Explore the ancient House of Dionysos and some of the finest classical mosaics in the Mediterranean. Or take a tour of the Tombs of the Kings hewn from solid rock deep underground.

Almyra was perfectly set up to cope with children and it was a great comfort with so many other parents of young children all in the same boat. All the staff were excellent and apart from our arrival (where we were kept waiting to check in) everything went smoothly. Food was excellent and room service proved to be our normal way to dine but this was made to feel special too.

Excellent, except it should be noted that garden facing rooms are some nights subject to excessive late night noise from local clubs which may or may not be baby friendly, we were lucky, although I got no sleep before 4am on those nights, baby slept like a log! Quo Vadis Responds: Sorry to hear about the noise. A new nightclub has opened nearby. Delighted you still rated the holiday excellent. We will always recommend the sea view rooms, budget permitting.

I stayed at Almyra, Cyprus: Really great hotel and fantastic staff. Only criticism would be that we had two 'garden view rooms' that had no view of the garden and the first rooms we were allocated were very noisy as they faced the busy main road. A fabulous holiday though that I would recommend to anyone
