Stretching along the southern coast of Turkey, the Bodrum Peninsula is a great destination for family holidays. The Bodrum coast hugs the warm Aegean Sea, offering a range of busy seaside resorts or almost deserted beaches, giving options to suit any taste.
Those looking for a busy seaside holiday with child friendly hotels, plenty of shops, restaurants and a lively nightlife should head to Bodrum town, Bitez, Gumbet or Turgutreis. Anyone looking for a quieter family holiday will enjoy Torba or Turkbuku which, while having much quieter beaches, still offer many traditional tavernas.
One fun activity on a holiday on the Bodrum Peninsula is the Sunset Safari, where the whole family will enjoy a 4x4 ride into the mountains with incredible views across the countryside. There are donkey rides for the children in the forest and the day ends with a tasty barbeque dinner.
Other activities to enjoy are visits to historic castles and monuments in the area, shopping in the many fascinating markets or an exciting cruise on a sailing boat along the coast. Once the family has its fill of exploring, the beach awaits for the children to have fun while parents relax, before heading back to the best in baby friendly accommodation.
